Oh, the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL!

Posted by Miss Knotty on November 30, 2006

A fire would be delightful. But since I’ve got almost no place to go, let it snow let it snow let it snow.

It’s sleeting here, and30 degrees. This is Dallas. We should not be having these temperatures for AT LEAST another couple months. We don’t usually get ‘winter storms’ until January or February. Interesting weather patterns, these. Particularly since it’sbeen humid and in the 70s for the last few days, and the temperature dropped from 75-something yesterday to 30 today. I feel bad for people who suffer from such rapid temperature changes. I’m pleased that it’s finally gotten cold-ish (we usually do have temperatures in the 50s-60s and then the 40s at night in ‘wintertime’), but that said, I didn’t expect it to drop and change season all in 1 night. Hopefully this will kill off some of the mosquitos. We’ll see.

Anyway, here’s a picture of the edge of my balcony. I couldn’t get the pictures of the sky with the precip to work (the clouds aren’t dark enough, I think).

Think I’ll make some stitch markers, and also maybe do some spinning.

I may also venture down the street to Blockbuster and come back. We’ll see how intrepid I get. I thought of going to see Casino Royale today, but I DEFINITELYdon’t want to be trapped at the movie theater… my car isn’t, shall we say, winter equipped? As I have no heat and no defrost. But that’s okay. I’ll work it out. Maybe I’ll go tomorrow. They have it in DLP at my theatre. I’d like to see it that way.
