a long day

Posted by Miss Knotty on October 26, 2005

But all in all a good one. I’ll have a pic to post soon of my hat that I finished (eee!) It’s a red & white pixie hat from Amy Singer’s book, Knit Wit (She used to edit – and in fact, I think she started the site in the first place. But I’m not 100% sure of that. So don’t quote me.)

I also made awesome headway on my sock – I’m really almost ready to start those toe decreases – yaaaay toes!

I need to do a long read of the bible – get caught up some. Maybe things will quiet down after the next couple weekends. The 20s retreat is this weekend, and then a YP campout the next weekend. I’m pretty excited, except that I’m a little nervous, and here’s why – I snore. And I talk in my sleep. Ex-Boyfriendo confirmed this for me, and he has no reason to lie about it. But that said….. I snore. And I talk in my sleep. And I’m a little afraid of what’s gonna happen in mixed company when I’m just sawin the logs away and chattering like a magpie in front of so many of these virtual strangers. I wish there were a way to somehow gag myself or something so that I know I don’t talk, but the only way to guarantee that is to not sleep. And I certainly can’t keep myself from sleeping. I’d be so crabby!

The YP campout won’t be so bad, because I’ll be in my own tent, and I’ll just make sure it’s well away, so people won’t be distracted by my talking. Hopefully.

Okay. So there that is. I’m nervous about what people will think of me because of my involuntary behavior while sleeping.

How much more neurotic can a girl be? I mean, it’s not like I sleepwalk, or have night terrors or wet the bed. It’s just a little nonsensical talking and maybe some sinus-related snores. What can I do about that? It’s the nature of things. It’s just….. how it is. One of my quirks.

Still, I’m a little afraid about the effect it will have.
